We provide free issue Lumsden grinding of many specifications of steel and cast iron. We grind thicknesses ranging from 3mm up to 400mm. Our tolerances on unspecified dimensions are +/- 0.25mm (10 thou) but we can achieve more accurate tolerances on specified dimensions where required. We achieve a flatness of 0.05mm per running 300mm (2 thou per running foot)
We have 6 magnetic rotary Lumsden machines from 36” to 60” diameter tables. This gives us great flexibility to cater for any of our customers grinding needs. We are comfortable grinding prototypes/individual parts or batch orders. We also have the ability to turn around breakdown orders in a very short space of time.
We also have a Milling machine for large stock removal.
On completion, all parts get de-burred of sharp edges, rust protected, then wrapped/banded on a pallet ready for transport.
